National Art Honor Society

The National Art Honor Society is to promote and encourage the artistic endeavors of art students at Ladywood High School.  This organization has several purposes: (1) to inspire and recognize those high school students who have shown outstanding ability in art, (2) to foster excellence and further creative abilities and talents, (3) to promote aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school, and (4) to bring art into the lives of the school and community by service to both areas.

MEMBERSHIP:

Membership is based upon art scholarship, service, and character. Students must be enrolled in an art class for one semester and carry a B average. Students may remain active if their schedule does not allow for an art class. Lastly, ten hours of service is required along with attendance to meetings.

TYPES OF ACTIVITIES:

• Work on school plays

• NAHS induction activities

• Art orientated service projects

• Set up and take down Ladywood's Annual Art Exhibition

MEETINGS:

Meetings are held on each last Tuesday of the month.
